Description

WPFW is a commercial-free community radio station in Washington, D.C., a guardian of the First Amendment and protector of free speech and freedom of the press. WPFW is dedicated to programming which reflects progressive social change and democracy. The station promotes global, humanistic, futuristic approaches to news and public affairs, the creative arts, and cultural programming. The Pacifica mission is heard in programming on WPFW dedicated to peace, economic and social justice, an international perspective, and freedom of speech.
