Lawo VSC Virtual Audio Device for macOS
Description
Lawo VSC is a virtual audio device and application for macOS used in RAVENNA and AES67 audio-over-IP workflows. It converts local computer audio into network streams and can also receive audio streams for local use.
The product is designed for professional audio and broadcast environments that rely on AoIP networks and desktop or laptop computers. It supports uncompressed bi-directional audio, multiple virtual devices in the Standard version, and operation with up to 96 kHz sampling rates.
Lawo lists features such as PPM level meters, a test tone generator, and a pre-listen function. The Standard version also supports multicast, unicast, SMPTE ST 2022-7 redundant streaming, and synchronization options including PTP.
The page also notes support for open AoIP standards and integration with Lawo HOME, Ember+, and NMOS via Lawo HOME. A free version is available with limited channel and device counts, alongside a licensed Standard version.
