Joe Bryan, the founder of FATC and the CEO of The Beachomber, founded the Florida Addiction Treatment Coalition after effectively treating individuals struggling with substance use disorder for over forty years. He was discourage by the stigma generated by the media around treatment and felt it was discouraging to preventing people from getting the help they desperately needed.
Who we are
The problems we face in Florida did not happen overnight, and they will not get solved overnight. FATC is committed to solving the problems of perception of Florida treatment, insurances not paying or discriminating against Florida, bad press, and disreputable organizations.

Discussion Lunches Every month we hold a luncheon to discuss progress, receive community feedback.
Round Table Discussions Our round table discussions also have more economic sponsorship opportunities for your business or cause.
Treatment Network We invite centers who operate at a very high ethical standard to participate in our membership list.
Legislation Our members rally and meet with congress to fight for legislation and benefits for individuals and organizations.
