He won almost every major award the industry has to offer including Charter membership in the National Broadcasters Hall Of Fame, along with Larry King, Ted Turner, Art Linkletter and Gary Owens. He received Billboard Magazine’s Air Personality of The Year Award, and a Star on the World Famous Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
